Photo Of the Day: Kampala Night Skyline
A night view of Kampala, Uganda’s capital. Its Uganda’s largest city with an estimated population of 2million inhabitants. Among the attractions include: Uganda Museum, National Theatre, Owino Market, Boda Bodas. Also to note is that Kampala hosts one of only seven Bahai Houses of worship in the world. It is known as the Mother Temple of Africa and is situated on Kikaya Hill on the outskirts of the city. Its foundation stone was laid in January, 1958, and was dedicated on January 13, 1961.
Wow! Pretty. I had no idea my City shone like this at night!
Nice and “different” photo! You know the media around here just gives us the war, the famine or the straw hut type of photos from african countries…
Its always important to tell both sides of the story. Unfortunately, the media, more especially, western media focuses on what you have named above and forget to slice in the very positive stories about Uganda and Africa as a whole…
This is just breathtaking, wondering where exactly you took this pic from??
Very nice, beautiful shot!
seems UMEME had not done what they do best
I live in Kampala and I have never seen this, thanks Echwalu. I cant imagine that this is the Kampala I know. Obulamu bunyuma kilo.
Thanks Echwalu for this beautiful view of Kampala at night. Obulamu bunyuma kilo
This is the real Kampala by night….. not the war they talk of.
