Photo Of The Day: Refugee Mother

A refugee mother stands next to her house at the Rwamwanja refugee resettlement camp located about 350km west of Uganda’s capital, Kampala  on November 16^th, 2012. At the peak of the conflict between M23 and the DR Congo government, approximately 1,000 people arrived at the camp weekly. The camp now has more than 30.000 refugees .The situation in eastern Dr Congo has made remarkable progress due to the ongoing peace talks in Kampala where the M23 rebels announced a unilateral ceasefire last week.
