Trailing Kiiza Besigye: Day 10 (Wakiso)
I finally resume the Kiiza Besigye trail but this time trying so hard not to repeat myself.
First, i hurt my leg today as i jumped on and off our assigned campaign car.
In Kajjansi, about 1.00pm, I and a colleague jumped off to look for a restaurant hoping to buy some snacks. We’d not eaten since morning. We failed and on the way back to the where Kiiza Besigye was speaking, the convoy was taking off…
My colleague jumped in unhurt before i hit my leg. It pained like crazy but i was just half the day and had to labour on. But yeah, i managed to finish the race finally in Nansana.
In that pain, i tried to keep Kiiza Besigye in the shadows. Well, throughout this campaign period, he is the man you are most likely to see in every front page in this country.I would not want to make this the nth of them.
I loitered among the supporters, trying to get a feel of it.And trust me it was a risk worth taking. I made some interesting g compositions. You may ask which kind of risk.
First, you risk you pockets running dry. You hope no one steps on your toes. So many are most likely not to give you space to take a shot of the guy on stage and generally, the biggest is a stamped (mini) that could eventually end your camera’s life span.

Campaign itenary

We started in Entebbe- Nakiwogo-Nkumba-Kajjansi,-Ndejje-Busabala-Makindye-Bweyogerere-Kireka-Kyaliwajjala-Gayaza-Matuga and then Nansana.
We were supposed to have had the last rally of the day at Kyengera but it was already 7pm, way past the campaign time. So, we called it a day there and the above are the harvests of the day.
